Gigi Florez-Rocha

Gigi Florez-Rocha has a diverse range of work experience in financial accounting, procurement, and management roles. Gigi started their career at KPMG, where they served as a Manager and oversaw audit teams in the financial services and healthcare industries. Gigi then joined Watsco as an SEC Reporting Manager, responsible for internal and external financial reporting. Gigi also worked at VirtualCom as a Corporate Controller, managing accounting functions for telecommunications subsidiaries in Latin America. At DIRECTV Latin America, they served as a Controller and managed the accounting functions for six South American subsidiaries. Gigi also founded their own business consulting company called Gigliola M. Florez CPA, where they provided accounting, financial planning, and interim management services to clients ranging from small businesses to publicly traded companies. Prior to their current role, Gigi worked at Herbalife as a Director, overseeing financial systems and processes, and as a Director of Regional Controller, managing accounting functions for eight subsidiaries in Latin America and Canada. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Financial Accounting and Procurement at Americares. In this role, they lead the international accounting function for field offices located in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, manages operational budgets, supports business development and programs, and ensures compliance with accounting policies and audit requirements.

Gigi Florez-Rocha obtained an MBA in General Business and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Florida International University from 1987 to 1993. Gigi also earned certifications as a Certified Public Accountant from the State of Florida in 1993 and from the State of New York in 2015. In 2012, they pursued Fine/Studio Arts at the Pelham Art Center.
