Maria Gabriela Salvador

Maria Gabriela Salvador has a strong background in the healthcare industry, with experience in various leadership roles. Maria Gabriela is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Maternova, Inc. since 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Vice President Operations at Americares from 2018 to 2020. Maria Gabriela also served as the Director of Latin America and Caribbean at Americares from 2018 to 2020. Before joining Americares, they worked as the Senior Director of Health at Grameen Foundation from 2016 to 2018 and as the Senior Director of Microfinance and Health Protection at Freedom from Hunger from 2014 to 2018. Maria Gabriela has also worked as the Chief Health and Human Development Officer at Pro Mujer International from 2010 to 2014. Maria's earlier experience includes working as an independent consultant for health programs in Latin America from 2008 to 2010, as an Ophthalmologist in private practice at Mendez Vision Institute from 2002 to 2006, and as a faculty member in the Medical School at the University Baja Californa from 2003 to 2006. Maria Gabriela also completed a fellowship in Ophthalmic Surgery at the University of California Irvine from 1999 to 2001. Maria received their MD degree in Argentina in 1991.

Maria Gabriela Salvador attended Harvard University from 2007 to 2008, where they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree. During the same period, they also studied at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, specializing in Policy and Management. Prior to their time at Harvard, it is unclear where they studied.
