Amy McLard

Amy McLard, CUDE, currently serves as the Director of Advocacy Communications for America's Credit Unions, a position held since January 2024. Previously, Amy held the same role at the Credit Union National Association from January 2023 to January 2024. Prior to these positions, extensive experience was gained at the Heartland Credit Union Association, where responsibilities included Vice President and Executive Director of Advocacy from January 2016 to January 2023, focusing on lobbying and strategic communications for credit unions in Kansas and Missouri. Amy also held various advocacy and leadership roles at the Missouri Credit Union Association from 2001 to 2016, including Senior Vice President of Advocacy. Early career accomplishments include work as a reporter for KETV, KOLN/KGIN, and KOMU-TV, after earning a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
