Ayanna S Bryan, PhD

Ayanna S Bryan, PhD has over 13 years of work experience in various roles. In 2017, they began working as Quality & Regulatory Manager - Laboratory Services and R&D, and STEM Cell Senior Scientist of Product Development & Innovative Research at Americord Registry. As STEM Cell Senior Scientist, they acted as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and primary science resource for the sales team and marketing publications. Additionally, they produced methods to investigate blood, tissue and derived stem cells using cell biology, flow cytometry, molecular biology, and immuno-biology assays, as well as generated nonclinical data packages to enable product candidates from their targeted audience.

In 2014, Ayanna began working as Sales and Service Specialist at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New Jersey Properties. In this role, they bought, sold, maintained, and rented properties, optimized the financial value of a property, and coordinated maintenance, vetted renters and buyers, and ensured security. In 2015, they also worked as a Consultant at Cineflix Media Inc.

Prior to this, Ayanna worked at the University of Florida from 2008-2014. Ayanna S held two roles there: Neurophysiology Lab Services Manager and Neurophysiology Postdoctoral Research Associate. As Lab Services Manager, they supervised Neurophysiology technicians, electrophysiological experiments and projects, budgets, daily goals and technical operations, offered feedback to employees on their performance and resolved technologists’ concerns, and led vendor management, quality assurance, inventory management, and animal care. As Postdoctoral Research Associate, they advanced and initiated new experimental paradigms, collected and analyzed electrophysiological data sets, and produced novel hypotheses for development of experimental studies.

From 2006-2008, Ayanna worked at Washington University in St. Louis as a Postdoctoral Research Associate of Animal Science. In this role, they experimented with animal model systems for the neural correlate of sensorimotor activity, identified areas of cortical activation during psychophysical tasks, resulting in perceptual errors, and performed small animal surgeries including ocular coil implantation and stereotaxic chamber for deep brain stimulation.

Ayanna S Bryan, PhD received their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Neuroscience from Brock University in 1999. Ayanna S then attended Brandeis University, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience in 2006. During their time at Brandeis, they also obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Neurobiology and Neurosciences. Additionally, they have a certification from Dale Carnegie Training's Sales Edge Continuing Education.
