Merri Ellen Wadsworth

Merri Ellen Wadsworth is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the banking and accounting sectors. Currently serving as Executive Vice President at Ameris Bank since June 2020, Wadsworth has held multiple senior positions, including Controller and Managing Director of Enterprise Operations. Prior to Ameris Bank, Wadsworth worked at SunTrust as Group Vice President and Director of Financial Reporting and at Crowe as a Senior Manager. Wadsworth's earlier career includes roles at Porter Keadle Moore, LLP, and Draffin & Tucker, LLP, where foundational accounting skills were developed. Wadsworth holds a Master's degree in Accounting from Georgia State University and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Georgia Southern University, as well as certification as a Certified Public Accountant.
