Merri Ellen Wadsworth

Merri Ellen Wadsworth has extensive experience in financial management and operations, currently serving as Executive Vice President and Controller, as well as Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Enterprise Operations at Ameris Bank since August 2021. Prior to joining Ameris Bank, Merri Ellen held the position of Group Vice President and Director of Financial Reporting at SunTrust from May 2018 to June 2020. Additional experience includes working as a Senior Manager at Crowe, a Senior Accountant at Porter Keadle Moore, LLP, and a Staff II Accountant at Draffin & Tucker, LLP. Merri Ellen holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting and a Master's degree in Accounting, both from Georgia Southern University.
