Woodie Westbrook

Woodie Westbrook is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in software development, enterprise architecture, and IT operations. Currently serving as Vice President of Technology at Ameritas since October 2021, Woodie previously held the position of Vice President of Technology at BlueStar Retirement Services, where responsibilities included leading IT operations and application development, cloud architecture, and serving on the Relius Technology Users Group Board. Prior roles include Director of Software Development and Vice President of Enterprise Architecture at CIT, where innovative practices in development were established, and leading the migration of legacy systems to modern platforms at the Alabama Fire College. Woodie's early career included significant contributions as an applications developer and database administrator at various organizations, including the Florida House of Representatives and SkyBooks, as well as a solid foundation in technology as a Senior Developer at Knothe Corporation. Woodie's military background as a Satellite Communications Operator/Maintainer with the US Army further complements a robust career in technology.
