Jake Schleppy has a diverse work experience, spanning from 2018 to the present day. Jake started their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at High Point University, where they conducted research on the effects of cannabidiol (CBD) on serotonergic neurons and gene expression in vinegar flies. In January 2021, Jake joined Mass General Brigham as a Temporary Laboratory Assistant, where they analyzed and tested nasopharyngeal swabs for COVID-19 and collected samples for mental hospital patients. Currently, they are working as a Mental Health Technician at A Mission for Michael, providing one-on-one coping skills/tools assistance to clients in a residential mental health treatment program and facilitating collaborative groups for mental well-being.
