Monica Sakurai is the owner of Ryu Equestrian and the director of marketing and professional development at AmFund. Monica has been with Ryu Equestrian since March 2014 and has been responsible for the company's social media, public relations, website, sales, and branding. Under their leadership, Ryu Equestrian has grown to become one of the most successful equestrian businesses in the world with sales totaling over $278,000.

Monica Sakurai earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Russian Language and Literature from Mount Holyoke College. Monica also earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Mount Holyoke College.
