Charles M. Nelson

Charles M. Nelson currently serves as the Executive Director, Plant Manager for Drug Substance Supply at Amgen, overseeing clinical and commercial drug substance manufacturing operations at the Thousand Oaks site. Previously, Charles held the position of Executive Director for Facilities & Engineering at Amgen and served as Site Head at both Takeda and Shire, managing plant operations with full P&L accountability. Charles has extensive experience at Baxter International Inc. in various leadership roles, including Site Head and Director of Manufacturing, where significant operational improvements and cost savings were achieved. Charles holds an MBA from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Southern Arkansas University.
