Omid Ghasemi

Omid Ghasemi is a Principal Scientist specializing in Computational Pathology at Amgen, with a creative approach to translational science and over a decade of experience in image and data analysis, machine learning, and deep learning applied to histopathology and medical imaging. Previously, they held various roles, including Senior Imaging Scientist at Invicro and Scientist I at Takeda, where they led significant advancements in multiplex image analysis and algorithm development for oncology projects. Omid earned a BSc in Physics from Ferdowsi University, an MSc in Medical Imaging with Distinction from the University of Surrey, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Throughout their career, they have contributed to numerous biotech and pharmaceutical projects, pushing the boundaries of digital pathology and quantitative analysis.
