Siddique Abbasi

Siddique Abbasi, MD, MSc, serves as Vice President of Clinical Research at Amgen since June 2017, where responsibilities include leading the cross-functional team for AMG 133, a primary program targeting obesity and metabolic disease. Siddique also held the role of Executive Medical Director and Global Development Lead for heart failure, specifically overseeing the development and execution of pivotal studies on omecamtiv mecarbil. Prior to Amgen, Siddique was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Brown University, focusing on cardiometabolic disease, and has held fellowships at Harvard University and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Epidemiology from Harvard University and an MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Saint Louis University.
