Derek Musashe

Derek Musashe has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. In 2007, they began their career as a Neuroscience Researcher at OHSU | Oregon Health & Science University, where they worked until 2015. Derek then joined UC Santa Barbara as a STEM Career Counselor in 2016, and held additional roles as a Lecturer in 2018 and 2019. In 2014, they also served as an Adjunct Professor of Biology at the University of Portland. Derek transitioned into the pharmaceutical industry in 2021, joining Biohaven Pharmaceuticals as an Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison. Derek later moved to Pfizer in early 2023, where they held the same role before transitioning to their current position at Amicus Therapeutics as an Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison.

Derek Musashe has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Neuroscience from Furman University, which they completed from 2003 to 2007. Derek also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Neuroscience from Oregon Health & Science University, where they studied from 2007 to 2014.
