Matthew Nelson

Matthew Nelson has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and medical field. Matthew currently serves as the Head of Global Medical Operations and Global Medical Information at Amicus Therapeutics, a position they have held since July 2021. Prior to this role, they were the Director of Global Medical Information and Center of Excellence Lead at the same company from November 2020 to July 2021. Before joining Amicus Therapeutics, they worked at Novartis as a Medical Science Liaison Associate Director from January 2016 to May 2018. Matthew also had experience at Biogen as the Medical Excellence Lead for US Medical from August 2012 to November 2015, and at Myriad RBM, Inc. as the Director of US Clinical Development from February 2010 to August 2012. Additionally, they worked for sanofi-aventis as a Regional Medical Liaison from June 2007 to February 2010, and at Wyeth as a Medical Liaison from 2005 to 2007. Matthew began their career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Maryland, Baltimore from September 2001 to October 2005.

Matthew Nelson earned a BS Pharm degree in Pharmacy from West Virginia University in 1995. Matthew then pursued a PharmD degree in Pharmacy from the Medical University of South Carolina, completing it between 1995 and 1997.
