Brian Peters is an experienced professional specializing in data analysis and research within the fields of community development and oceanography. Currently serving as a Project Evaluation Officer at Amigos for Christ since December 2017, Brian focuses on analyzing and visualizing data from 22 rural communities in northern Nicaragua, utilizing SQL and Metabase to generate reports and dashboards for internal evaluations and donor communications. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral role at Stanford University, where Brian engaged in stable isotope analysis of seawater samples and assisted with the maintenance of specialized laboratory equipment, as well as a graduate research assistantship involving nutrient modeling and field sampling in various global locations. Additionally, Brian began academic endeavors as an undergraduate laboratory assistant at the University of Miami, analyzing seawater samples for nutrient concentrations. Brian holds a PhD in Earth Science (Oceanography) from Stanford University and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Miami.
