Chun Wie Chong

Chun Wie Chong has had a varied and impressive work experience, starting in 2012 as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Malaya. In 2018, they became Head of the Centre for Translational Research at IRDI, International Medical University. From 2012 to 2019, they held a number of positions at International Medical University, including Senior Lecturer, Programme Director of MSc Molecular Medicine, and Lecturer. In 2019, they joined Monash University Malaysia as an Associate Professor, Deputy Head of School (Research), Senior Lecturer, and Graduate Research Coordinator of the School of Pharmacy. In 2020, they became a Data Science Consultant at AMILI, and in 2021 they were appointed as an Academic Editor of PLOS ONE at the Public Library of Science (PLOS). Most recently, in 2022, they joined the Springer Nature Group as an Editorial Board Member of Scientific Reports.

Chun Wie Chong received a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Microbial Ecology from the University of Malaya between 2006 and 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Malaya between 2002 and 2005.
