Jason Hales

Jason Hales has a decade of experience in the IT industry. Jason began their career in 2010 as a Unix Systems Analyst at Volt. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Linux Administrator I at Hostgator.com and then at Rackspace, the #1 managed cloud company. In 2015, they joined Box as an Operations Center Engineer. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as an Information Security Engineer at CynergisTek, Inc. and then they joined Sony Interactive Entertainment as a Release Engineer. Most recently, in 2022, they were hired as a Release Engineer at AMISEQ. Throughout their career, they have been responsible for creating, deploying, and redeploying virtual machines, creating alerting for part of testing infrastructure, making updates to configuration manifests, conducting network vulnerability scans, travelling to client sites for data collection, monitoring site metrics, responding to server/url alerts, making configuration changes to services, providing support for hosting software and content management systems, and performing light diagnostics.

Jason Hales earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Information Systems from The University of Texas at San Antonio between 2000 and 2008. Jason then obtained a Certified Ethical Hacker certification from EC-Council in March 2017. In March 2018, they completed a course in Learning Python from LinkedIn. In August 2021, they completed the Software Development Bootcamp from Austin Community College. In March 2022, they completed a course in Learning Terraform from LinkedIn. Jason also obtained various certifications from LinkedIn in the months of March, April, July, and August 2022, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA-C02) Cert Prep. Finally, they also hold a Red Hat Certified System Administrator RHEL 6 certification.
