Peter Rantis

Peter Rantis is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in surgery and medical leadership. Since July 1996, Peter has served as a Surgeon and Partner at Suburban Surgical Care Specialists. In addition, Peter has held the position of Rectal Cancer Program Director at AMITA Health Alexian Brothers Medical Center since September 2019, and also serves as System Medical Director of Quality for AMITA Health Center for Bariatrics. From 2004 to 2019, Peter was the Medical Director for Bariatric Surgical Services at St. Alexius Medical Center. Peter Rantis completed a Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine (1986-1990) and has pursued additional education at the Saint Louis University Health Sciences Center (1995-1996) and Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine (1990-1995) following a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (1982-1986).
