Katia Roux is a seasoned advocate with extensive experience in human rights and social justice organizations. Currently serving as Chargée de plaidoyer Libertés at Amnesty International France since June 2017, Katia previously held the position of Responsable des campagnes and Chargée de mission Dignité au travail / Souveraineté alimentaire at ActionAid France - Peuples Solidaires from March 2012 to April 2017. Prior to that, Katia worked as Coordinatrice du Comité pour une intervention civile de paix and Coordinatrice nationale at MAN - Mouvement pour une Alternative Non-violente between February 2010 and November 2011, and gained additional experience as Assistante campagne/plaidoyer at Crisis Action and during an internship at FIDH - International Federation for Human Rights. Katia began a career in advocacy as Outreach Coordinator and Ginetta Sagan Fund Intern at Amnesty International USA in 2008. Academic qualifications include a Maîtrise in Philosophie morale et politique from Université de Poitiers and studies at Sciences Po Lyon and University of California, Berkeley.
