Denis Krivosheev has extensive experience in human rights research and advocacy, currently serving as the Head of Research (Deputy Regional Director) for Amnesty International's Eastern Europe and Central Asia Regional Office since May 2010. Previously held positions include interim Head of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Regional Office, Deputy Director of the Europe and Central Asia Programme, and researcher focused on legal and political issues in the former Soviet Union. Prior to Amnesty International, Denis Krivosheev worked as an Analyst for STIRLING ASSYNT (EUROPE) LIMITED and served as a Project Coordinator with Saferworld, where responsibilities included project implementation and field research across several countries in the region. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in International Relations from The University of Manchester and a Diploma in International Relations from Belarusian State University.
