Lorraine Degruson serves as the Global Youth Participation Advisor at Amnesty International since July 2021, providing guidance on children and youth participation with a focus on diversity and inclusion, advocating for meaningful youth engagement, and leading the monitoring of the Global Children and Youth Strategy. Previously, Lorraine held the position of Head of the Global Children and Youth Team at Amnesty International, where strategic leadership and staff management were primary responsibilities. In addition to roles at Amnesty, Lorraine works as an Organisational Development Consultant for the PeaceNexus Foundation, advising on fundraising strategies, and serves on the Advisory Committee for the Knowledge Platform Security & Rule of Law. Lorraine’s previous experience includes leadership roles at the United Network of Young Peacebuilders, strategic advisory positions at the Humanitarian Law Center, and various legal roles across different organizations. Lorraine's educational background includes multiple degrees in law and international peace and security from institutions such as King's College London and Université Catholique de Lille.
