Richard Alam

Richard Alam currently serves as a Senior Campaigner at Amnesty International, focusing on the rights of refugees and migrants in Europe since January 2024. In this role, Richard leads the development of campaign strategies, coordinates various campaign activities, and provides strategic advice to staff. Prior to this, Richard held positions including Research Analyst in Criminal Justice at a non-governmental organization, Campaigns Consultant at Digital Action, and Regional Campaigner at Amnesty International, among others. Richard’s experience encompasses a diverse range of roles in human rights, advocacy, and education, supported by a Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Cultural Diversity from the University of Essex.
