Alexandra Poignand is a Senior Corporate Campaigner at Canopy, with previous experience in fabric sourcing and garment technology roles at John Lewis & Partners, SP Diffusion, and Sainsbury's. Alexandra holds a BA (Hons) in Fashion Management from Nottingham Trent University and has completed a Circular Economy Masterclass at the University of Exeter Business School. Alexandra also has a background in art and design from UAL Foundation Diploma and A-Levels.

Canopy’s story is rooted in a passion to protect the endangered, carbon-rich forests around the world from destruction. Canopy’s approach focuses on creating solutions and working together with the largest buyers of pulp and paper products to achieve a much greater impact. We understand that business leaders can be powerful forces for environmental change. We work with companies to craft sustainable purchasing guidelines and with partners to develop permanent and systemic solutions that protect forests. Started over a decade ago as Markets Initiatives, Canopy has grown and attracted a group of passionate environmental and social justice activists.
