Steve Thomas

Steve Thomas has a diverse work experience in learning and development roles. Steve has served as a Global Director of Learning and Organizational Development at Amnesty International since November 2023. Prior to that, they were the Senior L&D Manager at Travelex, where they led a remote team and implemented strategic learning practices to increase sales and learning cultures. Steve also worked as the Head of Learning and Development at Moving Ahead in 2022 and as a Learning and Talent Development Manager at Publicis Sapient in 2021.

Before that, Steve held the position of Senior Leadership Development Manager at Deckers Brands from 2019 to 2021, where they created and led projects on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Steve also worked as an Interim Senior Learning and Development Consultant at ESI Media in 2018, as well as in various people development roles at New Look from 2015 to 2018. In addition, they worked as a Contractor at TDP Development Ltd in 2014, where they delivered a culture change program for Royal Mail.

Steve's work experience includes a range of responsibilities such as creating and facilitating training sessions, driving change, implementing learning programs, and developing talent strategies. Steve has consistently achieved positive results, such as increasing sales, improving employee engagement, and enhancing learning outcomes.

Steve Thomas received their Bachelor's Degree in LLB Law from City of Sunderland University, completing their studies from 2001 to 2004. In addition, they have obtained certifications including ILM Level 7 from ILM in 2021 and ILM Level 5 from ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) in 2015.
