Chaitanya Wadkar has held a variety of positions in the engineering field over the past decade. In 2011, they were a part of the SAE BAJA team at Don Bosco Institute of Technology (D.B.I.T). From 2015 to 2016, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at Kettering University, where they used SIEMENS NX and CFD Analysis to design a novel combustion chamber. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During this time, they used LABVIEW and MATLAB software to acquire data from a Rapid Compression Machine and to post-process it. From 2017 to 2021, they were a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Minnesota. During this time, they developed a validated model to numerically study the effect of the reactor aspect ratio and thermal boundary conditions on catalyst performance for OCM in a packed-bed reactor, using CHEMKIN-Pro and CONVERGE CFD. Currently, they are a Combustion CFD Engineer at Amogy, where they work with a highly multidisciplinary team to perform experimental and simulation studies on oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) and natural gas engines.
Chaitanya Wadkar has a long history of education in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Chaitanya obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) from the University of Mumbai in 2013, followed by a Master of Science (M.S.) from Kettering University in 2016. Chaitanya then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD from Michigan State University, which they completed in 2021. In addition to their formal education, Chaitanya has also obtained certifications in Robotics Level 1 (2010), Six Sigma Green Belt (2013), and Pro Engineer (PTC).
