Sarah Gillespie is currently a PhD Candidate at AMOLF, focusing on optimizing transport layers in perovskite/Si tandem solar cells since September 2021. Previously, Sarah served as a Research Intern at AMOLF, where the Master's Thesis centered on encapsulating metal halide perovskite nanocrystals in silica molecular sieves from August 2020 to June 2021. Additional experience includes working as a Teaching Assistant at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and various roles at University College Dublin, including Suite Science Data Analyst, Physics Laboratory Tutor & Demonstrator, Science Leader, and Science Communication and Outreach Intern. Sarah also facilitated the Quavers to Quadratics program at the National Concert Hall in Dublin and completed an internship with Huawei Technologies. Academically, Sarah obtained an MSc in Physics & Astronomy from the University of Amsterdam, a BSc in Physics from University College Dublin, and completed Harvard Business School Online's CORe Credential of Readiness, alongside a semester study abroad program at Villanova University.
