Mahmoud Khalifa

Mahmoud Khalifa is an experienced professional in library and information science, currently serving as Managing Editor for Persian, German, and Egyptian journals at DOAJ since May 2016, while also acting as DOAJ Ambassador for the Middle East and Persian Gulf. In addition, Mahmoud holds the position of Digital Research Support Manager at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management since October 2022, and is a PhD candidate at Humboldt University of Berlin. Past roles include Cataloger Librarian at the Library of Congress, OCLC Fellow, and various positions in academic and public libraries, focusing on cataloging, indexing, and library development. Mahmoud earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Library and Information Science from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and a Master's degree in Web Archiving Technology from Cairo University.
