Chris Handwerk

Chris Handwerk is an accomplished executive in the energy sector, currently serving as Chief Development Officer at Amp Americas since June 2025, leading business development for RNG facilities. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President of Origination at BrightNight, where Chris led business development for the PJM and MISO regions and spearheaded the Data Center Task Force. At Constellation, Chris held various senior positions including Vice President of Commercial Strategy, where responsibilities included leading strategic initiatives that contributed to significant growth, and Managing Director roles focused on M&A and strategic transactions. Chris’s career began in the U.S. Navy as a Submarine Junior Officer, underscoring a foundation of leadership and mission-oriented achievement. Chris holds a BS in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and advanced degrees (PhD and dual SM) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Nuclear Science and Engineering and Nuclear Engineering/Technology and Policy.
