Richard Burrell

Richard has considerable experience in raising and ensuring the rapid deployment of capital dedicated to infrastructure investing in clean energy. He also has expertise and considerable experience in identifying, acquiring, integrating and managing complimentary businesses.

Richard was appointed Chief Executive of AMP Clean Energy in 2012. During this time, he has overseen the original IPO (in 2014) and most recently (in 2020) the acquisition and take private of AMP Clean Energy by Asterion Industrial. During this time, he has led the acquisitions of a number of businesses which have been integrated into a vertically integrated clean energy business developing and owning clean energy assets located both behind the meter and in front of the meter.AMP Clean Energy’s core strategy is aimed at helping businesses and property owners unlock the potential of decentralised and distributed energy as the UK transitions to a low carbon future.
