Yen Hui Tie [B Com, LLB, LLM, GDipAppFin, GDipCorGov] joined AMP Capital in April 2005 as Senior Legal Counsel and joined the Global Leadership Team as Head of Legal in 2015. Her previous roles have included Senior Associate at Allens Arthur Robinson (now Allens Linklaters) and Senior Associate at Henry Davis York, Australia.

As Senior Legal Counsel for AMP Capital, Ms Tie has provided legal support primarily to AMP Capital’s property, infrastructure and marketing teams and teams based in or active in Asia as well as the AMP Group M&A, HR and AMP SMSF teams. Her work has included advising on the establishment of new funds, fund operations and governance and fund restructures; capital raising, promotion and marketing of new and existing funds in Australia and internationally; joint ventures, alliances and partnerships; and mergers and acquisitions. Most recently, Ms Tie advised on the strategically important joint ventures, China Life AMP Asset Management Company and China Life Pension Company.

As a lawyer and senior associate in private practice, Ms Tie developed a wide range of expertise in areas such as funds management, capital markets, fundraising, corporate governance, joint ventures, structured acquisitions and disposals, infrastructure, commercial property and property finance.

Ms Tie holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales, Australia, a Masters of Laws from the University of Sydney, Australia, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance from Chartered Secretaries Australia (now Governance Institute of Australia).
