Zachary Buchanan

Zachary Buchanan, PhD, is an Analytical Scientist II at AMPAC Fine Chemicals since August 2022. With a robust background in physical chemistry, Zachary completed a PhD at the University of California, Davis, from 2015 to August 2022, where significant work involved the development of in-house instruments for studying gas phase kinetics. Prior research experience includes a position as a researcher at the Institut des Sciences Moléculaires d'Orsay, supported by the Chateaubriand fellowship, focusing on millimeter wave spectroscopy and FTIR experiments. Additional roles at Brigham Young University included software development and various laboratory assistance positions, demonstrating a strong foundation in chemistry and research methodologies.
