Atiq Bajwa

CTO & Chief Architect at Ampere

Atiq Bajwa is the CTO and Chief Architect at Ampere. Atiq has also worked for Microsoft as a Design Engineer from May 2007 to September 2011. There, they were responsible for designing the RemoteFx codec, which is a video compression technology that Microsoft uses for desktop remoting. Atiq also wrote test plans and cases, executed them, and automated regression environments. In addition, they designed transactors, monitors, and checkers to verify designs, as well as AXI models to integrate RemoteFx into AMBA SoC designs. Furthermore, they set up and generated verification code coverage reports for verification completeness and developed tools for design verification environments.

Prior to working at Microsoft, Atiq Bajwa was a Lead Engineer at Atrenta, Inc from January 2003 to December 2003. There, they worked on the enhancement and maintenance of Interra Jaguar VHDL Compiler. This involved identifying customer bug reports and resolving them. Atiq also implemented the Sort functionality of Spyglass VHDL Parser. Spyglass is a Predictive Analyzing tool that sorts input VHDL files after resolving dependency between design units. In addition, they worked on code coverage. This involved merging various coverage report files of different libraries and generating the correct coverage report.

Atiq Bajwa has completed a Deep Learning Certificate from the University of San Francisco in Artificial Intelligence. Atiq has also completed coursework in Design and Analysis of Algorithms from Stanford University. Atiq holds an M.S. in Software Systems from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a B.E. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Govt. Institute of Technology.
