Doug Vanderschuere has extensive work experience in the field of verification engineering and computer architecture. Doug is currently working as a Principal Verification Engineer at Ampere since 2023. Prior to that, they held various roles at Intel Corporation, starting from 1996. At Intel, they worked as a Senior Staff Verification Engineer, where they led the SoC verification team and developed PCIE and CXL products. Doug also served as a Computer Architect, where they developed prototype architectural models and led a small team of architects. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Staff Verification Engineer, overseeing the pre-silicon verification of server-related products, and as a Verification Manager, building and managing a team of engineers. Before joining Intel, they worked at Sequent Computer Systems as a Senior System Engineer, where they were involved in the design, verification, and support of ASICs, boards, and systems. Overall, Doug Vanderschuere has a strong background in verification engineering, computer architecture, and team management.
Doug Vanderschuere graduated from the University of Portland in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Engineering. Additionally, they pursued further education at the Oregon Graduate Institute, specializing in Advanced Computer Architecture. Doug also studied VHDL at the Oregon Institute of Technology and completed a course in Advanced SystemVerilog for Verification at Sunburst Design.
