Hong Liang

Hong Liang has extensive work experience in product test engineering, particularly in the field of NPI (New Product Introduction). Hong currently holds the position of Director of Product Test Engineering at Ampere, where they lead a team responsible for NPI and high-volume production for various products. In this role, they collaborate closely with suppliers to improve yield, reduce cycle time, and optimize costs. Prior to joining Ampere, Hong Liang worked at Xilinx for over 20 years, where they held several roles in NPI product engineering. Hong formed and developed a strong NPI wafer sort engineering team, ensuring efficient data collection and analysis, capacity planning, and sort operations. Hong also performed product characterizations and worked closely with foundry and OSAT partners. Earlier in their career, they worked at Siliconware Precision Industries as a Technical Support Engineer and at Bangkok Shutters as an Engineer.

Hong Liang obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida, where they studied from 1991 to 1994. Hong then pursued a Master of Engineering in Electrical Power Management from the Asian Institute of Technology, completing their studies from 1994 to 1996. Additionally, Hong Liang holds a certification in Project Management Essentials from the Management & Strategy Institute, which was obtained in 2021.
