The team you’ll work with

The sales team is responsible for qualifying, accelerating and successfully closing customer opportunities. The team brings significant energy domain and data/technology depth into customer engagements particularly knowledge of energy markets, wholesale trading, and power utilities. 

The Role

As the first European sales lead you’ll have the opportunity to build end to end Go-to-Market strategies that directly impact Amperon’s overall success. You’ll create detailed sales plans and tactics to effectively penetrate European markets, acquire customers and drive revenue growth. You’ll monitor sales performance against targets and KPIs, analyzing sales data and trends, and identifying areas for improvement. You will directly manage sales resources including business development reps and market analysis.

The problems you’ll solve 

As GTM lead you’ll successfully land and ramp up the initial Europe GTM team, with support from North American commercial and product resources and processes. Some things you’ll solve include

  • Exceed Europe ARR bookings target and develop customer and product strategy to substantially expand ARR in 2025.
  • Successfully land lighthouse customer deals in as part of a cloud hyperscale GTM partnership.
  • Generate high-impact partner and customer marketing to drive market awareness and customer credibility.
  • Generate a substantial pipeline, from a mix of P&U customer segments and successfully close deals across multiple customer segments to prove out PMF (product market fit) in the region.
  • Accelerate regional GTM by successfully establishing channel partnerships, with support from North American partnership Director.
  • Secure customer logos and case studies to establish Amperon as a high-impact partner to deliver customer value.

You may be a fit for this role if

You have 5-10 years experience in a quota driven sales role with at least 3 in power utilities. Proven experience leading efforts to identify and acquire new customers through various channels such as direct sales, channel partnerships, alliances, and referrals. Proven experience meeting KPI and building metrics that capture progress against sales goals. You’ve successfully developed partnerships and maintained relationships with major European power utilities companies.
