Yue Shen

Yue (Shawn) Shen is a scientist specializing in computational biology with extensive experience in data analysis and machine learning applied to drug discovery. Current position at Ampersand Biomedicines involves computational biology responsibilities since January 2024. Previously, at RVAC Medicines, Yue analyzed experimental data and developed deep learning models for RNA optimization. A graduate research assistant at the UT/ORNL Center for Molecular Biophysics, Yue led machine learning research projects and utilized computational biology methods. Early experience as a research assistant at the State Key Laboratory of Microbial Metabolism involved database management and Python scripting. Yue holds a PhD in Computational Biology and a Master's degree in Statistics from the University of Tennessee and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
