Christopher Hensell has extensive work experience in engineering and equipment services. Christopher currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at AMPORTS Inc. since March 2023. Previously, they worked at Kokosing Industrial as the Operations Equipment and Maintenance Manager from August 2020 to January 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Engineering and Equipment Services at Ports America from October 2017 to August 2020. Christopher's earlier experience includes working as the Chief Engineer at Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation, where they supervised a team and managed various aspects of equipment operation, maintenance, and repair. Christopher began their career in the US Navy, where they held multiple leadership roles and gained expertise in engineering, operations, and maintenance management.
Christopher Hensell has a diverse education history. Christopher attended Arizona State University from an unknown start year until 2004, where they studied Mechanical Engineering Related Technologies/Technicians. Prior to that, they attended Old Dominion University until 2002, specializing in Marine/Mechanical Engineering. Earlier, they attended Three Rivers Community College until 1998, focusing on General Studies.
In addition to their formal education, Hensell has earned several certifications. In 2016, they obtained a Confined Space Rescue Supervisor certification from Miller Environmental Group, Inc. In 2015, they earned a CIC Certified/Licensed Crane Operator certification from Crane Institute Certification. In 2012, they completed the OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety and Health course through OSHA Courses.
