Alexander Schütz

Alexander Schütz, Dr. has a diverse work experience in the fields of data analysis, research and development, and academia. Alexander is currently working as the Head of Data Lab at Amprion GmbH since January 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as a Referent in Asset Management at the same company from February 2020 to January 2021.

Before joining Amprion GmbH, Dr. Schütz worked as an R&D Scientist at Bruker Daltonics from August 2018 to January 2020. Their responsibilities included research and development of analytical instruments such as mass spectrometers and ion mobility spectrometers, as well as developing software for data analysis.

Dr. Schütz also has experience in academic research. Alexander worked at the Leibniz-Institut für Analytische Wissenschaften – ISAS – e.V. from April 2013 to July 2018, starting as a Masterstudent/Student Assistant and later becoming a Research Associate. Alexander also served as a Postdoc at the institute from June 2018 to July 2018.

In addition, Dr. Schütz has held visiting research positions at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Universidad de Jaén in 2017, where they worked as a Visiting Research Scientist for short durations.

Their career began as a Student Assistant at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology from August 2007 to March 2013, where they gained valuable experience in a research setting.

Alexander Schütz, Dr. received their Abitur from Stadtgymnasium Dortmund in 2007. Alexander then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics from TU Dortmund University from 2007 to 2012. Schütz continued their education at TU Dortmund University, obtaining a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics from 2013 to 2014. Alexander furthered their studies and received a Dr. rer. nat. in Physics from TU Dortmund University from 2014 to 2018. Additionally, Schütz obtained certifications such as the "best talk award" from Leibniz-Institut für Analytische Wissenschaften - ISAS - e.V. in 2015 and 2016, as well as completing a Sprachkurs Portugiesisch (Euro Niveau) B1 at Universität Duisburg-Essen in 2013.
