Javed Asgher Syed

Javed Asgher Syed has extensive work experience in various IT leadership roles. Javed Asgher began their career as a Software Manager at Virtual Team, followed by a role as a Senior Software Engineer at NeoVision International. Javed Asgher then worked as an Administrative Manager at First Property Group plc.

Syed's career in IT management started when they joined Barrett Hodgson Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd as the Director of IT, where they successfully rebuilt the MIS Department and developed MIS strategies to support the company's rapid expansion. Javed Asgher was later promoted to the role of CIO at Amreli Steels Limited, where they contributed to the management team by conducting SWOT analysis and aligning IT with business using frameworks such as COBIT 5 and ITIL 3. Javed Asgher also implemented SAP in record time and improved the network and server infrastructure.

At Exide Pakistan Limited, Syed served as the Head of IT & PM SAP Implementation, where they negotiated and managed the implementation of SAP ERP projects, including financials, supply chain, and infrastructure procurement.

During their tenure at Dreamworld Ltd., they held the position of Head of IT and focused on strategic planning, incorporating new technologies, and enhancing communication and collaboration both within and outside the company.

Additionally, Syed worked at Acelogics as the Chief Operating Officer, providing consultancy in Oracle ERP and developing and introducing ERP products in the textile and pharmaceutical sectors.

Javed Asgher also had experience in creating new ventures, such as founding Barrett Hodgson IT Solutions, a company focused on diversifying into the Information Technology business, and designing and implementing IT infrastructure for The Barrett Hodgson International School.

Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Electronics from NED University of Engineering and Technology from 1987 to 1992.

Their earlier education includes Grade 6 to Matriculation in Sciences from Pakistan International School Riyadh from 1979 to 1984.
