Vidhya Balasubramanian

Vidhya Balasubramanian currently serves as Principal of Amrita School of Computing at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham since February 2009, where responsibilities include teaching and research. Balasubramanian has held various academic positions including Professor and Associate Professor at the same institution and previously served as an Assistant Professor at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham since January 2018. Prior experience includes working as a Professor at ResCUE, CalIT2, University of California Irvine from May 2004 to December 2008 and as a Graduate Student Researcher at both DSM Group and UC Irvine from September 2001 to September 2004. Balasubramanian earned a PhD in Computer Science from UC Irvine, as well as a Master of Science in Computer and Information Science and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from educational institutions in the United States and India respectively.
