Joe Wiley

Joe Wiley is the current CEO at Amryt Pharma. Prior to this, they served as a member of the board at Innocoll Pharmaceuticals from December 2014 to July 2017. Before that, Joe was a Principal at Sofinnova Ventures from April 2012 to April 2015. Sofinnova Ventures specializes in clinical and late preclinical investments in biopharmaceutical products. Joe also served as Medical Director at Astellas Pharma from September 2010 to April 2012 where they were a member of European medical leadership team. In 2010, Joe was an Investment Director at Synova Capital from March 2010 to September 2010. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate Director at Aberdeen Asset Management from February 2005 to March 2010 where they were a senior investment executive in UK mid-market private equity team with a focus on healthcare. Joe began their career as an Investment Manager at Inventages Venture Capital from February 2004 to February 2005. Joe then worked as a neurology physician and pharmaceutical trials investigator at Beaumont Hospital from January 2000 to December 2002. Joe also worked as a neurology and general medicine doctor at Mater Hospital from January 1994 to December 2000.

Joe Wiley has a degree in pharmaceutical medicine from Trinity College Dublin, an MBA from INSEAD, and a medical degree from Trinity College Dublin. Joe is currently a postgraduate medical student at the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland.
