Juanita Kurtin

Juanita Kurtin is a highly experienced professional in the fields of product development, materials research, and solar energy technology. Currently serving as the Head of LED Product Development at ams OSRAM since July 2022, Juanita previously held the position of Director of Materials Research at Osram Opto Semiconductors, Inc. from December 2017 to August 2022. As a CTO and Co-Founder at Pacific Light Technologies from April 2011 to December 2017, Juanita contributed significantly to the company’s innovations. Prior experience includes roles as VP of Research & Development and Director of R&D at SpectraWatt, where Juanita focused on solar cell research. Juanita’s career also includes a position as R&D Manager for New Business Initiatives at Intel, overseeing solar energy projects, and as a Staff Research Scientist specializing in nanomaterials-based circuit research. Academic credentials include a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and an S.B. in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
