Anders Borges

Anders Borges has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries.

From 2023, they have been employed as a Senior Data Scientist at Amsterdam Data Collective. Prior to that, from 2021 to 2023, they worked at DAMVAD Analytics, first as a Data Scientist and then as a Senior Data Scientist.

In 2021, Anders spent some time looking for opportunities and worked as a Data Scientist while exploring new challenges. During this period, they also maintained a blog on the intersection of data science and sustainability.

Before transitioning into the field of data science, Anders worked at Haldor Topsoe A/S from 2017 to 2020. There, they held the positions of Senior Technical Service Engineer and Technical Service Engineer, where they assisted sulfuric acid plants worldwide in reaching their goals and addressing various challenges.

Anders began their career as a PhD student at the University of Copenhagen in 2013. Their research focused on molecular electronics, with several publications in prestigious scientific journals. Anders also spent a short period as a Postdoc at the university.

Further expanding their academic experience, Anders was a visiting student at Columbia University in 2015, where they conducted research on the conductance of single molecules using the Scanning Tunneling Microscope Break Junction technique.

Prior to that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemistry from the University of Copenhagen from 2013 to 2017.

Before their doctoral studies, Anders obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Nanoscience from the University of Copenhagen, completing it from 2011 to 2013. Anders initially began their educational journey at the same university, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nanoscience from 2008 to 2011.

In addition to their academic achievements, Anders Borges has also obtained certifications in the field of cloud computing and data science. Anders became an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner through Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2021. Anders further acquired the Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate certification from Microsoft in August 2022.
