Hans van Avendonk has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Hans is currently serving as the Chief Commercial Officer ad interim and Country Lead NL at Amsterdam Data Collective since 2023. In their role as the Practice Lead Customer Excellence at the same company, they are responsible for setting up and leading the Customer Excellence practice, focusing on creating value with data in marketing and customer experience. Hans has also held the position of Senior Manager at Amsterdam Data Collective.
Prior to their current role, Hans served as the Chairman of the Taskforce Creative.io at IAB Nederland from 2021 to 2021. In this position, they set up a new taskforce focusing on the applicability of technology and insights from data on creativity in the campaign process.
Hans has also worked as an Interim Marketing AI Lead at DEUS: human(ity)-centered AI from 2020 to 2021, where they used data and artificial intelligence to tackle business challenges and create value in marketing.
Before their ventures in the data and AI field, Hans held leadership positions in marketing and communication. Hans served as the Director of Marketing Communication at Landal GreenParks from 2016 to 2020, where they managed the marketing and rental of bungalow parks across multiple countries. Prior to that, they worked at Nationale-Nederlanden as the Head of Branding & Sponsoring from 2014 to 2016 and as the Head of Branding from 2010 to 2014.
Hans also has experience in the advertising industry, having worked as the Head of Client Services at Grey Group from 2008 to 2010, as the Client Service Director at DDB from 2006 to 2008, and as an Account Director at DDB from 2005 to 2006. Hans started their career at MVBMS Fuel Europe as a Regional Account Director from 2003 to 2004 and at DMB&B as an Account Manager from 1999 to 2002.
