Rahul Bhoera

Rahul Bhoera is a dedicated PhD candidate in Cardiothoracic Surgery at both Leiden University Medical Center and Amsterdam UMC, with research experience in the field. In addition to research roles, Rahul serves as a Student Teacher in First Aid and SpringLab, supervising and educating first-year medical students. As a co-founder of VECTOR Amsterdam, Rahul promotes a 10-week program for medical students interested in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery. Engagement in numerous initiatives includes a role as a Civilian Life Aid Worker with Hartstichting and participation in the International Surgical Anatomy Teaching Series. Rahul holds a Master of Science in Medicine from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and is pursuing a PhD at Leiden University, following a Bachelor of Science in Medicine from the same institution.
