Siobhan "Sam" Bennett has held a variety of positions in their career, beginning with District Manager at Verizon in 1992. Siobhan "Sam" then moved to Executive Director at Mayfair Inc. in 1999, where they eliminated funds shrinkage and significantly raised revenues to increase profits to the largest in the organization's history. In 2003, they became Regional Field Director at America Coming Together, dramatically increasing voter engagement in high diversity low-income districts. From 2004 to 2006, they served as Statewide Director at Properties of Merit, obtaining Home Depot commitment as the first national corporate partner for 3-year funding and coordinating bi-partisan legislative support. In 2006, they ran for U.S. Congress in Pennsylvania's 15th district, raising record-setting funds and earning a historic number of votes. From 2009 to 2018, they served as President/CEO of both Women's Campaign Fund and Siobhan "Sam" Should Run, delivering exponential revenue and program growth, tripling staff, creating a new brand, and re-establishing a national presence. In 2018, they joined Legal Momentum as Chief Strategic Officer and Senior Vice-President Communications and Development, where they earned board praise for developing an actionable strategy and communications program to expand the organization and mission visibility. Most recently, in 2021, they were hired as both Chief Revenue Officer of New York Amsterdam News and CEO of its non-profit arm, AmNews Educational Foundation.

Siobhan "Sam" Bennett attended SUNY Oneonta, where they earned a BA with a concentration in Economics. During their time there, they were a Regents Scholar and was included on the Dean's List.
