Clark Carpenter, APR, is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in public affairs and media relations. Currently serving as a Congressional and Public Affairs Officer at Amtrak OIG since December 2017, Clark leads media relations and analytics teams, develops communication strategies, and advises executive leadership on media engagement. Previous roles include serving as a Congressional & Public Affairs Officer for the US Marine Corps Headquarters, where strategic communication plans were developed, and as Commanding Officer at Marine Detachment Fort Meade, overseeing the training and development of over 500 Marines. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Communication and Media Studies from San Diego State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Media Studies from Worcester State University, complemented by specialized training at the Defense Information School.
