Senior Director Strategy, Awareness, And Engagement at Amtrak

Allison Stewart, CISSP, has a diverse and extensive work experience in cybersecurity and strategic advisory roles. Allison currently serves as the Senior Director of Strategy, Awareness, and Engagement at Amtrak, where they oversee independent teams providing cyber support and consultation, maintains cyber awareness for employees, engages with industry partners, and connects with government resources. Allison also coordinates and manages the strategy for a cybersecurity element responsible for critical infrastructure.

Prior to their role at Amtrak, Allison worked as a Senior Technology Director at Amtrak, where they focused on developing and managing cybersecurity strategies for critical infrastructure. Allison also played a key role in identifying, organizing, and overseeing workforce entry-level training programs and a rotational remote intern program.

Before their tenure at Amtrak, Allison held the position of Chief Member at Chief, a private network designed to support senior women leaders in strengthening their leadership journey. Allison also worked as the Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Cybersecurity at Global Security and Innovative Strategies (GSIS), where they spearheaded the strategy and operations of the cyber services division.

Earlier in their career, Allison served as the Deputy Director (then Acting Director) at the United States Cyber Command, where they led a large organization of network engineers, cybersecurity officers, and IT specialists. Allison also worked as a Senior Strategist for the Director of Army Staff at the United States Department of the Army and as a Senior Operations Research Analyst at the United States Special Operations Command.

Allison's work experience also includes roles at the Army Sexual Harassment/Assault Response & Prevention Office, Army G-1 (Personnel Policy), and the 82nd Airborne Division. Overall, their experience demonstrates their expertise in cybersecurity, strategy development, leadership, and coordination.

Allison Stewart, CISSP, holds a Master of Science degree in Operations Research (Military Applications) from George Mason University. Allison also has a Master of Science degree in National Security and Resource Strategy from National Defense University. Allison'sBachelor of Science degree in Mathematics was obtained from Western Michigan University. Allison recently obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in June 2023. Additionally, they were recognized as a Next Generation Leader for Women in 2022 by the InspireCIO Leadership Network.
