David Lawhorn

David Lawhorn, MS, is an experienced safety and loss control professional with extensive expertise in risk management across various sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Loss Control at AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. since August 2015, Lawhorn oversees national customer-facing relations for a leading multi-line carrier. Prior to this role, Lawhorn held key positions including Director of Loss Control at FHM Insurance Company, where responsibilities included managing service for significant accounts, and Senior Loss Control Consultant at Falls Lake Insurance Companies, where contributions were instrumental in establishing the Loss Control department. Additional experience includes roles at Builders Mutual Insurance Company, Dsm Dyneema as an Industrial Hygienist, and consultancy work at East Carolina University and the North Carolina Department of Labor. Lawhorn holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Technology, specializing in Occupational Safety & Health, from East Carolina University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
