Richard Butler has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Richard started their career in 1981 at Samuel Montagu & Co, where they worked in merchant banking for ten years. Richard then joined Credit Lyonnais in 1991 as a Banking Officer before transitioning to various roles, including Responsable Engagements Royaume-Uni Benelux and Analyste sell-side High Yield. In 2002, they joined Credit Lyonnais Asset Management as an Analyste buy-side High Yield. Six years later, Richard joined Credit Agricole Asset Management as the Head of High Yield Analysis. Finally, in 2009, they joined Amundi Asset Management as the Global Head of Credit Research, where they currently hold the role.
Richard Butler attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1976 to 1979. During this period, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a specialization in International Relations.
