Eric Litjens

Eric Litjens has a diverse range of work experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Eric is currently serving as the Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications, EMEA at Amylyx Pharmaceuticals. Prior to this, they worked at Orphan Now as a Partner, focusing on Marketing and Commercial Strategy. Eric also held multiple roles at Hansa Biopharma, including Senior Director of Global Commercial Operations and Senior Director, Global Head of Patient Advocacy. Eric has also gained experience at Chiesi Group, Horizon Pharma plc, Raptor Pharmaceuticals, i-Optics, Sanofi Genzyme, Roche Diagnostics Nederland, and UMC Utrecht. Eric has proven expertise in areas such as marketing, communications, patient advocacy, and product management.

Eric Litjens completed their PhD in Medicine, Biochemistry at Utrecht University from 1997 to 2002. Eric then pursued further education in Marketing and became an International Marketing Manager after completing NIMA Marketing A+B at an unspecified institution in 2008-2009. In 2006, they also studied Pharmaceutical Marketing at the Management Centre Europe. Prior to that, from 1989 to 1997, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Chemistry from Radboud University.
